About Arab Origami Center

Established in 2011, Arab Origami Center seeks to take origami out of the cloak of art and to transform it into a method of expression and change. The paper becomes a tool that can be used in various topics and in different artistic forms. We will be working mainly on; visual arts & performing arts (theater, storytelling and dance), non-formal education and product design. All of which will be based and inspired by origami and folding paper whether it was in a storytelling medium, using origami in education as a tool to deliver certain values in a creative way or making multi-purpose foldable products.

Who Are We Specifically Looking For?

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who wishes to be exposed to a multitude of fields and development organizations while working hand in hand with experienced artists and in the field of education. The ideal candidate would have worked in a management / economic research consultancy. Also the ideal candidate would be knowledgeable or interested in the artistic and cultural scene and familiar with its dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to developing AOC’s Business Development strategy in light of offerings.
  • Promote AOC’s corporate capabilities and services to Clients.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting and effective relationships with clients, consultants and partners.
  • Work closely with practice leads in AOC to establish new business pipelines.
  • Conduct the relevant technical/field and desk research associated with writing proposals.
  • Lead client briefing/scoping meetings, in addition to negotiating and closing deals with clients.
  • Assessing opportunities for increasing revenues and profitability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in business administration, economics or a related discipline is an asset but a relevant practical experience is key.
  • 2-5 years of experience in related business development activities in international, development and/or private sector organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
  • Meticulous and persuasive with details and facts.
  • A (CRM) software experience is required.
